Project Description
DESIRE is a 30- months long project aiming at enhancing skills of students (12 to 15 years old) in entrepreneurial filed, in the particular sense of initiative and social entrepreneurship, to make them future responsible social entrepreneurs.
This means to teach them how to use their capacities and innovative thinking in order to face social challenges creating positive changes in societies.
In fact, these are essential transversal skills identified by the European Union as the key both to create new jobs and to build resilient societies for a greater social impact.
To this extent, the project consortium, made, in addition to Eurocrea Merchant, of Ruse Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Coordinator of the project), IDEC S.A, Leonardo da Vinci School in Bulgaria, Emphasys Centre, Association of Educational services “Open Europe”, Babele created together and Institut Gabriel Ferranter I Soler, will develop three important intellectual outputs:
- a competence guide,
- an e-learning platform
- and a training course.
The Social Entrepreneurship Guide for teachers, based on previous research about social entrepreneurs’ characteristics in partner’s countries, has the scope of producing a methodology and curriculum model to make students aware of social entrepreneurship’s eco-system. On the bases of the teacher’s guide, both an e-learning platform and a training course will be realized. This last will consist at first at the preparation of teachers and later on of students. Teachers will be introduced and trained about how to deliver to students the content of the guide and students will acquire principal social entrepreneurship competences and skills.
