Project Description

SmartyourHome is an Erasmus plus project based on very positive experiences with online training for seniors. It approaches the very innovative topic of smart homes, specifically targeting senior individuals. The link between smart homes and seniors is evident: a smart home allows seniors to stay at home longer, in good comfort, safely, and with adapted support.

SmartyourHome aims at improving and expanding digital learning opportunities for older adults with ICT skills. Furthermore, one of the main goal is to develop an innovative approach for seniors to create their own smart-home environment. At the same time, the project facilitates ubiquitous access to learning opportunities through Internet-based offerings.

The most relevant matters raised by the project are i) empowering seniors to become innovators of their own home environment ii) using new technologies iii) developing innovative home ideas for seniors iv) efficiently monitoring comfort and safety in seniors’ home environment.
